Looking for a few good Stroke & Turn Judges
Dear Gator Parents,
Ever wonder what makes a stroke legal and why some swimmers get DQ'd? If you want one of the best views at the meets, please consider becoming a Stroke & Turn Judge. This is one of the most interesting volunteer roles on the team. You get a front row seat to your swimmer’s races while also learning the technical side of competitive swimming — what makes a legal stroke, turn, finish, relay exchange, etc.
Each team is required to provide one Stroke & Turn Judge at every meet, and right now we have limited trained volunteers, so we could really use a few more parents interested in the role.
Upper Merion is hosting a Stroke & Turn Judge clinic on June 9 at 6:30 PM for anyone interested in getting certified. It is a slightly higher-level volunteer role and does require training, but it’s a great way to get more involved with the team.
If you are interested, please reach out to me for more information.
Thanks! Go Gators!
Best Regards,
